The shopper is moving to an address in a new county or state.
If the shopper is staying within the same county, it is unlikely they will qualify for MOV SEP, but still possible in some circumstances. If switching from carrier to carrier (Humana plan to UHC plan, or UHC plan to Humana plan), sometimes the MOV SEP will get approved, even if the county does not change during the move. It is worth a shot, but please advise the shopper that there is a chance that the application may be denied and nothing will change if the application is denied.
MAPD/MA Loophole
If the shopper did not update their address with a new zip codeMedicare/SSA the last time they moved, then TODAY is the date of their move. If you notice that MARx has a different address than the physical address the shopper gives you, then you may be able to use the MOV SEP.

*Many Medigaps are nationwide with no need to change upon moving to another zip code or state. The shopper should be advised to call the carrier to verify. Advise the customer to call us back if they learn they need to enroll into another plan.
