If not, they can apply for their new resident state the same day they apply for clearance from the previous state which can expedite the process. One agent completed the entire process in under a day with this approach.
When applying for their new resident license they'll also need proof of residency such as a new driver's license in their new resident state or, proof of residency another way such as name on home power bill etc.
The previous resident state will recommend the agent submit a non-resident license for their previous state and the CXP Licensing team recommends the same to avoid future issues with carrier contracting.
The process can take a couple of weeks depending how quickly the agent works on making the updates and/or which State DOI they're working with.
