Additional Details

  • If the customer is adding part B during the Medicare General Enrollment Period (January 1-March 31) for a July 1 effective date, the SEP is available from April 1- June 30 for a July 1 effective date.

  • If the customer is adding part B due to a loss of credible coverage (ie, customer opted to delay part B in order to stay enrolled in their, or their spouses, group coverage), the SEP last for 3 months preceding the part B effective date.
